Convidado por Bruno da Mukaú Expedições, para fazer uma viagem ao Jalapão com o fotógrafo Nevin Xavier, Leonardo aceitou a ideia de ir. Na condição de defensor intransigente das belezas naturais do Tocantins, Leonardo, acreditou no desafio de trazer para a retina de cada um de nós, através das lentes mágicas da máquina fotográfica, do profissional Nevin, as incomparáveis belezas naturais do santuário denominado Jalapão. O livro traz textos poéticos para o lugar onde sempre deveriam estar: sobrepostos nas belas fotos de paisagens e recantos incomparáveis e únicos, onde ele procura descrever em poucas palavras a magia que o Jalapão exerce em todos que por lá já passaram, passam ou passarão um dia. JALAPÃO EM POESIAS é uma obra que traz uma proposta diferente e inovadora, procurando agradar aos olhos com indescritíveis fotos e com pequenos e rápidos poemas, mais precisamente haikais,buscando tocar o coração e a alma do leitor.
